Everything said in the video, chapter by chapter. Each time opens the video at that moment on YouTube.
0:00In this video, you'll add a supplier, see what you owe them, and mark a bill as paid.
Add a supplier
0:12Open Suppliers, and tap New Supplier. Give it a name. That's the only thing you have to fill in. You can leave the type and status as they are. Add a phone number and email if you like. Walnut tidies the number into UK format for you.
0:33Payment terms are how long you have to pay. They start at thirty days. Tap Create Supplier, and they're in your list.
See what you owe
0:53Each supplier shows what you've spent with them, and what you still owe in red. It comes from the stock purchases you log against them and haven't paid yet. To see the detail, tap View statement.
Read a statement
1:12At the top: everything you've spent with them, what you've paid, and what's still owed. These tiles split what you owe by how overdue it is. Below is every bill, with whether it's paid. Each bill is due after the supplier's payment terms. This one was due more than two weeks ago, so it's overdue.
Mark a bill as paid
1:35Open Spending. Today's bill from Sherwood is here, marked Unpaid. Once you've paid it, tap Mark Paid. It's dated today. Back on the statement, what you owe has gone down.
The aging report
2:05The Aging tab shows everyone you owe in one table, by how overdue they are.
Recap
2:18To recap. Open Suppliers, tap New Supplier, give it a name, and tap Create Supplier. The list shows what you've spent with each supplier, and what you still owe. View statement shows every bill, and how overdue it is. And when you've paid a bill, tap Mark Paid in Spending.
2:36Thanks for watching. In the next video, log a stock delivery from a supplier, so your stock and what you owe stay right. Start free at walnutpos.com.
