The short answer
Under Stock, open Inventory Counts, start a new count, and type what's really on the shelf, saving every so often. Tap Preview and Submit to check the difference, then Submit Count and Create Adjustments, and Walnut corrects your stock with one adjustment for each item that was off.
The £0 plan holds 100 stock items. WalnutPOS tells you when you reach it, and nothing is deleted. Advanced removes the limit. See every limit

Step by step
Everything said in the video, chapter by chapter. Each time opens the video at that moment on YouTube.
0:00By the end of this video you'll have counted the stock at Lena's, checked what's different, and corrected your numbers in one go.
Open Inventory Counts
0:14Go to Stock, then tap Inventory Counts. This lists every count you've done, with its status, how many items were off, and what that was worth.
Start a count
0:33Tap Start New Count. Give it a name you'll recognise later. We'll call ours October stocktake. A full count lists every stock item you have. A cycle count lists just one stock category, which is handy for a quick weekly check.
0:49Mark as baseline is ticked for you. A baseline is a checkpoint your reports measure against, so leave it on for a proper stocktake. Tap Start Count.
Count the shelf
1:04Each item shows what the system expects you to have. You type what's really there. Search to jump straight to an item. If your count matches, it's marked as matched. Here we've counted two fewer than expected. You see the difference, and what it's worth, straight away.
1:21And here there's one more than expected. Add a note so you remember why. Tap Save every so often. Your numbers are kept, so you can finish later, and the progress bar shows how far you've got.
Check, then submit
1:44Tap Preview and Submit. Nothing changes yet. You just see the result first. Anything you didn't count is left exactly as it is. Here's how many items you counted, how many were off, and the net value of the difference. Happy with it? Tap Submit Count and Create Adjustments. Walnut makes one adjustment for each item that was off.
Stock corrected
2:11The count now shows as submitted, and it's locked. Back on your stock list, the item now shows what you actually counted. And all of this works on the Free plan.
Recap
2:23To recap. Under Stock, open Inventory Counts, and start a new count. Type what's really on the shelf, and save every so often. Preview the difference, then submit, and your stock is corrected. Thanks for watching. In the next video, see which items are running low, and track what you pay for them. Start free at walnutpos.com.
