Step by step
Everything said in the video, chapter by chapter. Each time opens the video at that moment on YouTube.
0:00In a few minutes, your first online order lands on your till.
Get your store ready
0:08Get your store ready. On your dashboard, open phase four of your setup checklist. Customers need to find you, and reach you. Open Get your store ready, and tap Add a contact number. It opens your store's details, all on one page.
0:27Add the number customers and drivers will call. Type your street address, so customers can find you. Then find it on the map to set your pin. You need it before you can switch on online ordering. Check your opening hours. Customers can only order while you're open.
0:50Add your logo. It shows on your ordering page straight away. Save, and your store card says it's ready for online ordering. In Settings, check your time zone, so your hours match your local time.
Switch on online ordering
1:15Switch on online ordering. Back on the checklist, tap Enable online ordering. Switch online ordering on. Set your pickup time. It's the wait customers are told. We'll make it fifteen minutes. Then tap Save changes. If you deliver, switch on delivery here, and set your delivery zones. Our first video shows you how.
1:45Under Order rules, you can set a minimum order. We'll make it ten pounds, and save. On your checklist, tap Set delivery and pickup options. It opens Order Online, where customers find restaurants like yours. Search your name, and there's your restaurant, on the list and on the map.
Check your menu, share your link
2:14Check your menu, and share your link. Only visible items can be ordered online. Open an item, and check that Public Page says Visible. Then, in your store settings, copy your ordering link. Send it to your regulars, post it on your socials, and add it to your Google profile.
2:42This is your ordering page, on your customer's phone. Customers pay when they get their food: at the counter when they collect, or cash on delivery.
Place a test order
2:54Place a test order. Before you share your link, place a test order on your phone, just like a customer would. Add a couple of items, tap View order, then Checkout. Choose pickup, and add a phone number. Pickup orders are paid at the counter. Tap Place Order.
3:32Your till plays an alert, and the order appears in Orders. Answer every order quickly. If it isn't accepted within twenty minutes, it expires, and the customer is told. Tap Accept Order, set the minutes until it's ready, and accept.
3:52And on their phone, it says Confirmed. When they collect, open the order from Open Tickets. Tap Charge, choose Cash, tap Exact, and Charge. It's paid. That completes the order, and phase four of your checklist is done. You're live.
Recap
4:20To recap. Get your store ready. Switch on online ordering. Check your menu, and share your link. Then place a test order, and accept it.
