The short answer
Your setup checklist at the top of your dashboard is split into five phases, and clicking any task takes you straight to the page where you do it. Pick a period, then read your net sales, which is what your items sold for after discounts and item refunds and before tax and service charge, along with the tiles, the chart and the sales summary.

Your setup checklist
0:14At the top of your dashboard is your setup checklist. It's split into five phases, from taking your first order, through running your floor, stock and online ordering, to growing the business. Switch between phases here. When you finish a phase, it gets a tick.
0:29Click any task, and Walnut takes you straight to the page where you do it.
Pick a period
0:40Choose today, yesterday, this week, the last month, the last three months, or your own dates. This week means the last seven days, including today, not the calendar week. Show sales from sets which hours of the day count. It starts from your store's opening hours.
The headline numbers
1:03The big number is your net sales. That's what your items sold for, after discounts and item refunds, and before tax and service charge. Underneath, you can see how many orders that was, and your average ticket. Next to it are four tiles: net sales, the discounts you gave, the tax you collected, and your refunds.
Chart and sales summary
1:26The chart shows how your sales built up, hour by hour. Top categories shows what's selling best. For the full breakdown, click Detailed analytics. Transaction history breaks the same figures down hour by hour. Pick a longer period, and you get one row per day, with orders, gross sales, refunds, discounts, cash in hand, tax, service charge and net sales.
