The short answer
In the back office, open Category and tap Add Category, then give it a name, a sort order, where lower numbers come first, and a photo if you like. A category shows on the till, in sort order, once it has at least one item on sale.

Open your categories
0:17In the back office, open Category. You start on Menu Categories. These are the groups your dishes and drinks sit in. Stock categories are for your stock, and they get their own video. You can add as many categories as you like, even on the Free plan.
Add a category
0:40Tap Add Category. Give it a name. Lena's are in capitals, so we'll type Sunday Roasts in capitals too. Each name can only be used once. Sort order decides where it sits on the till. Lower numbers come first, and categories with the same number go A to Z.
0:59Brunch is number three. We'll type three as well, so Sunday Roasts sits just after Brunch. You can add a photo too. It shows on the category's button on the till. Tap Create Category. There it is, just after Brunch. This list is in the same order as your till.
Find it on the till
1:27A category only appears on the till once it has at least one item on sale. We've added a roast beef dinner to it off camera. The next video shows you how. Open the till. Your categories run down the side, in sort order. There's Sunday Roasts, just after Brunch.
1:44Tap it to see what's inside. To rename it, move it or change its photo later, just click it in your list.
